A 70 Year Old United Flight Attendant Rebels Against the Airline’s Uniforms in an Anonymous – and Graphic – Viral E-Mail. You Have to See What She Says…

The following e-mail has been circulating broadly. I cannot directly vouch for its authenticity, though it came to me from someone inside the industry. Considering that this is plausible regardless of the source, what does it say about labor relations, employee attitudes, and the changing nature of the profession at US airlines? As for the […]

KLM’s Cockpit Tales Series — Three Amazing Videos

Reader Sebastiaan sent along a cool project he has been working on with KLM, whereby he has been able to film some awesome cockpit footage for the airline to share on social media.

As part of this, he was able to ride along in the cockpits of a KLM 737, 777, and 747. The series is called "KLM Cockpit Tales," and all the videos are now online.

The first video follows a KLM 737 flying from Amsterdam to London, and focuses specifically on how the autopilot is used. It's fascinating stuff, especially for someone that might not otherwise be familiar with the technical side of flying.

Protect Yourself From Loyalty Program Hacking

Throughout the closing months of 2014 and into the new year, hackers began targeting travel loyalty accounts. La Compagnie Wants To Double Fleet Size And Is Considering 787s

I've written a lot lately about La Compagnie, the French airline which operates one daily flight between Paris and Newark.

La Compagnie recently announced that they would launch service between London and Newark. That service commences April 24, 2015, and the fares are crazy good -- they're charging ~$1,000 roundtrip for business class.

I've said for a long time that I think the airline brings a ton of value to the market. They're literally offering a sub-par business class product for economy class prices. For a very specific niche that's hugely valuable, and something that hasn't been available in the market before.

How To Shame A Person That Gropes You On A Flight

There's an interesting video going viral which was taken by a lady after she was groped on an IndiGo flight within India. Here's the description of the YouTube video:

'This man on the seat behind mine, put his fingers in the seat gap to touch me!!! I was very shocked for sometime to react. By then the flight went to landing mode. Then the moment flight touched down, i got up. Saw his hand was again on the side ready to take up any opportunity to touch me!!! I created such a scene, humiliated him in front of the whole flight! He thought like usual girls will keep quiet and he can get away with this! I have lodged an FIR now! He is a very rich man of Bhubaneswar and is now very humiliated in front of the people who know him. Cant believe the ordeal i had to go thru but being silent is a crime! The police officer was very helpful and the Indigo staff remained with me throughout. The man is under police custody currently. I clicked his pictures and made videos, shouted so loud that the entire plane came forward to see him! i made sure i humiliate him as much as possible because i know law will do nothing'
