To Lap Child, Or Not To Lap Child — That Is The Question

The lap child rule has to be one of the greatest deals of all time when it comes to air travel.

It’s sort of like an All You Can Jet pass that is given to you on your birth day and is valid for two years.

It’s unlimited.

And domestically at least, it’s unrestricted.

Oh right, there’s this one little caveat….

$1350 Business Class Fares To Europe!

Last week we saw a fare war which offered ~$2000 fares between the West coast and Europe. The best part was that British Airways and codeshare flights receive a $400 discount when booking through AARP, which brought the fares down to ~$1600 for the roundtrip business class tickets.

Per this FyerTalk thread, there seem to be decent fares for winter travel between the East coast of the US and Europe. New York to Barcelona, for example, is pricing out around $1900 for the roundtrip in Business class.

That's an okay fare for business class travel this time of year, but by using the AARP discount you can bring this down to ~$1500.

On top of that, if you have the British Airways Visa Signature® Card you can save an additional 10% as long as all flights are operated by British Airways.
