Up For Grabs: AwardWallet Plus Upgrade Codes (Round 1)

As I’ve mentioned before, AwardWallet is one of those websites I don’t put much thought into but it makes my life so much easier.

Back in the day I’d have to refresh all my mileage balances manually, and if you’re as OCD as I am and have as many frequent flyer accounts as I do, that can take hours each week. ;-)

I assume most of you already know about AwardWallet, but for those of you that don’t, it allows you to store most of your miles and points balances in one place. (If you are totally unfamiliar with AwardWallet or loyalty programs in general, make sure to check out the Beginner’s Guide to Miles & Points).

Register Now For First Hyatt Promotion Of 2015

Yesterday I wrote about Hyatt Gold Passport finally revealing the details of their first quarter 2015 promotion, entitled Stay More Play More. The promotion is valid for stays between January 15 and April 30, 2015, and there are several different versions of the offer which different members have been targeted for.

As I said above, different members have been targeted for different promotions. Based on the comments people left on yesterday's post, some of the offers include the following:

Review: Emirates First Class A380 Dubai To Singapore

Upon boarding through the upper deck jet bridge, we turned left into the first class cabin. At the door we were greeted by the Egyptian purser, who handed us off to one of the first class flight attendants.

Here's a fun fact, off the bat. Have you ever noticed the little black "patch" on the back of the first class bulkhead? Yep, that's a camera!

We had assigned seats 2E & 2F. As soon as I settled into 2E, Helga, one of the first class flight attendants, introduced herself and explained that she would be working my aisle. She was beyond gorgeous, and had one of the most mysteriously adorable accents I've ever heard. As it turns out she's a Peruvian Australian, which I don't think is an accent I've ever heard before.

She was actually an SFS (Senior Flight Stewardess), so it was the first time in years she had worked first class (in terms of Emirates seniority, you have economy crew, then business class crew, then first class crew, then SFS, who supervise economy and business, and then purser).

Etihad Releasing A380 First Class Award Space To Australia!!!

In late December I took Etihad Airways’ inaugural A380 flight between Abu Dhabi and London. While Etihad is only the 12th airline to take delivery of the A380, they’ve innovated in ways that we haven’t really seen from other carriers.

As far as I'm concerned the highlight of the Etihad A380s are the First Apartments, which are the most spacious first class seats in the industry.

Not surprisingly, initially Etihad didn't make any saver level First Apartment award seats available on the A380. That's pretty normal for airlines, whereby they want to keep the product "exclusive" at first by blocking awards, and in many cases even discounted revenue inventory.
