What Are the New Changes to the FICO Credit Scoring System?

The world of credit would be relatively simple if we had a single credit report and a single score based off of that report. Unfortunately this couldn’t be further from the reality. John Ulzheimer, a nationally recognized credit expert shared a great 5-minute video that I encourage you to watch. It covers the changes that […]

Permanent Collection: D.C.’s National Gallery

Washington, D.C.'s National Gallery of Art is an awesome trove, but approaching it requires planning. Most of the gallery's art is not on display at any one time, of course, but some spectacular pieces always are, and they provide the best starting point. Here are ten must-see works recommended by curator Eric Denker.

Delta Same Day Confirm Policy Changes Yet Again

Last year, Delta made some major changes to their Same Day Confirm policy, which requires that the same class of service must be available to change instead of just cabin to cabin availability. This means that if you were booked on a cheap fare, most likely you wouldn’t be able to Same Day Confirm and […]

Free ShopRunner Membership From Amex

ShopRunner is a membership program which offers express shipping and other benefits for a subscription fee of $8.95 per month, or $79 per year. That's less than the price of Amazon Prime, which is where it seems they're trying to compete.

Anyway, American Express is one of the investors in ShopRunner, and as part of the partnership Amex cardholders were originally eligible for a free year of membership. That benefit has been extended to be more or less "permanent," and when a reader emailed me today asking about the change in language I realized I'd never blogged about it.
