Amex Wants To Buy You Coffee

I love me some Starbucks, and the latest Amex Sync deal is offering $5 off a purchase of $10 or more for online Starbucks purchases.

I hate jumping through hoops, but when they're easy like this I don't mind as much.

Deals We Like reports that this works for Starbucks card reloads, so if you have some gift cards you've picked up at your friendly neighborhood office supply store you should be able to add $10 to the card and receive a $5 statement credit.

Should You Use a Credit Card to Earn Miles When You Pay Taxes?

Reader Gail asks, I have a lot of taxes to pay – which credit card do you recommend, if any? I pay taxes using my Suntrust Delta debit card… less than $3 for the payment, earns 1 Delta mile per dollar. Sadly that’s no longer available. You can still get an American debit card that […]

A Taste of Local Flavor in Asheville

When I first visited Asheville, North Carolina, five years ago, I remember noting the power of the “Love Asheville, Go Local” posters I saw in nearly every store or restaurant window I passed. This fall I was excited to return to Asheville and see that the city had taken its hometown pride to even greater heights. Here are four ways to get a taste of Asheville's distinctive regional flavor.

Pay Bills With a Credit Card and Earn Miles

At the beginning of the year Evolve Money evolved into a great way to pay bills using gift cards you purchased with a credit card to pay off bills with vendors who don’t accept credit cards (or charge fees too high for it to be worthwhile). In that way, you could earn miles for paying […]

Silvercar Offering Up To $200 Referral Credit

I've written in the past about Silvercar, which is an innovative new car rental service that has the potential to do to the car rental industry what Uber did to the taxi/car service industry.

What makes Silvercar unique is that they only have one type of car — an Audi A4 — which comes with a bunch of cool features, including:

-- Free GPS

-- Free wifi

-- Free satellite radio

-- Fair toll tracking

-- Reasonable fuel plan (if you choose not to fill up your car you pay the local pump price plus a $5 fill-up fee)

Furthermore, Silvercar eliminates the lines when picking up a car. When you download their app you can just go directly to the car and use the app to unlock the car.
