We really are in the golden age of travel technology. I’m sure I’ll look back on that statement in ten years – or two – and laugh. But the combination of portability and power of today’s laptops and mobile devices is almost absurd. While I’d love to free myself from the constant tether of the […]

How to Visit Cuba as an American (While It’s Still “Illegal”)

Like many of you, I was excited to hear the big news that the U.S. embargo against Cuba is ending. Wow! There’s probably a good life lesson in this news: if your government has tried something for more than 50 years and it hasn’t worked, maybe it’s time to try something else. As part of…

Qantas First Class Lounge LAX Now Open

The new Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX is arguably the most gorgeous airport terminal in the United States. It also features some of the nicest shared lounges, like the Star Alliance First & Business Class Lounge.

The business class section of the Qantas/oneworld lounge opened within the past six months. It's a lovely business class lounge, though as a first class passenger it not exactly exciting.

As a oneworld Emerald I've been waiting for the first class lounge to open.

The Qantas First Class Lounge LAX officially opens today, Thursday, December 18, 2014.
