JetBlue Double TrueBlue Base Points Through March 8, 2015

JetBlue is offering double base flight points when you register, book, and fly by March 8, 2015. This is almost exactly the same as the promotion that JetBlue ran last year over the same time period.

The caveat here is that only travel booked after you register qualifies, so previously booked travel through March 8 wouldn't qualify towards the promotion. Furthermore, the bonus base points will only post 4-6 weeks after the end of the promotion period.

JetBlue ordinarily offers three base points per dollar spent, so through this promotion you'd earn six base points per dollar spent. On top of that, you earn an additional three points per dollar spent for reservations made on jetblue.com. That means during the promotion period you earn nine points per dollar spent on tickets at jetblue.com.

I’ve found that Starwood hotels are the best overall at responding to complaints. If something goes wrong on a stay, an email to Corporate Customer Service (customercare -at- starwoodhotels.com) generally takes care of it. I find that most of the time a meaningful complaint yields points equal to a free night’s stay at a given […]

A Night at the Airport

After being home for three whole weeks, I'd almost forgotten how to travel. Fortunately, unlocking travel master status is a lot like riding a bicycle. You go through the motions, packing your bag and choosing your seat on the plane.

Wandering Earl

It all started last Wednesday when, during an afternoon break from doing some work, I decided to go online and look up random airfares from Bucharest. Always a sucker for the beach, the first destination I looked up was Goa, … Read more

Hmmm, So You Want To Involuntarily Deny Me Boarding, Eh?

Following up on my previous two posts:

-- I WANT TO REDEEM MILES FOR THIS FLIGHT SO BAD!

-- Booked On A350 To Position For Qatar Airways A350 Inaugural Flight

I checked in for my flight yesterday.

And was about to head to the airport this morning, when I saw that I had a "schedule change" on my itinerary.
