Etihad Reduces A380 Schedule To Sydney

Etihad's A380 is arguably the sexiest plane in the skies, thanks to their First Apartment and The Residence, which are possibly the two best premium cabin hard products in commercial aviation.

Much to my delight, Etihad has been making First Apartment award space readily available on their Abu Dhabi to London and Abu Dhabi to Sydney routes.

This is an incredible use of American AAdvantage miles, given that they have very attractive redemption rates without fuel surcharges.

Anyway, it looks like Etihad has made a minor A380 schedule adjustment on their Abu Dhabi to Sydney route. I wouldn't usually write about such a minor change, but in this case I know many of you have gone out of your way to book the A380, and I'd hate for anyone to be caught off guard by such a change.

Air India Changes Their Mascot To A Hipster Boy Taking A Selfie

There's no denying that Air India has 99 problems, from rats on a plane to literally scrapping a brand new 787 for parts.

However, if you ask me, their mascot was one of the few things that wasn't wrong with the airline.

Via The Times Of India:

"Air India's Maharajah, an iconic portly figure in regal garb and hands folded in namaskar, is being offloaded. Passengers are now being welcomed by a new and younger version of the mascot, sans turban with spiky hair, wearing jeans and sneakers. While the trademark twirling moustache remains, even that's been cut down to size."

JFK- Milan $399 Roundtrip With Emirates When Booking for Two

Getting to Europe for under $500 roundtrip these days can be nearly impossible and usually requires flying a wonky carrier (like WOW Air) via Iceland or hoping for a mega-mistake from an airline (ah, hem Etihad). You Won’t Believe Amex’s Targeted “PointsMatch” Promotion

No, that's not a click-bait headline. You really won't believe this. ;)

Let me start off by clarifying that this is a targeted pilot program/promotion for select Amex OPEN small business cardmembers. I wasn't targeted for the promotion but a friend was, and he forwarded me the below details. Usually I don't write about targeted promotions, but this one is so interesting that I can't not.

The promotion is called PointsMatch, and through it American Express is basically letting you redeem one Membership Rewards point in place of one American AAdvantage or United MileagePlus mile, towards travel on either airline.
