The 8 Best Complimentary Spa Treatments In Airport Lounges

There aren't many things more relaxing than a nice spa treatment before a longhaul flight. While many airports have paid massage facilities, rarely are they actually relaxing given the terminal background noise.

So I figured I'd compile a list of what I consider to be the best complimentary spa treatments available in airport lounges. The list is just based on lounges I've been to, and as always, your mileage may vary. I'll also add that I'm only including one lounge per airline. In many cases airlines have more than one lounge with spa treatments, though I'll just include the lounge where I had the best experience.

With that in mind, what do I consider to be among the world's best complimentary airport lounge spa treatments?

A Frugal Foodie’s Paradise: Cheap Treats in Cambodia

Prior to my recent trip to Cambodia, I had experienced only one other place that I truly consider a food lover’s paradise: Singapore. One of the reasons Cambodia rivals Singapore is not just the variety and flavor of the food, but the cost. In Singapore, you can feast on chili or pepper crab, giant grilled […]

$99 Helicopter Transfers Between NYC And Airports Now Bookable

Several weeks ago I wrote about Gotham Air, which I suppose is trying to be the new Uber or Silvercar of New York City helicopter transfers. They don't operate the helicopters themselves, but rather facilitate it through their app and website. I guess you could say they're a helicopter-sharing tech company.

They cut the commute between NYC and JFK/EWR airports down to six minutes.

While their fares are $199-219 each way (which isn't horrible, in my opinion), they have introductory rates of $99 when you enter promotion code LAUNCH at the time of booking. The promotion code is apparently only valid for bookings through tomorrow, Tuesday, February 17, 2015.

Watch San Fran morph into Gotham

Timelapses are now ubiquitous — my iphone even makes them — but some filmmakers are pushing the style to compelling new heights. Case in point: “Gotham City SF // A Timelapse Film” by Toby Harriman brings a dark, moody feel to the timelapse genre. It turns the greens, reds, and pastels of San Francisco into […]

Alaska Offering Double Miles In Select Markets Through May 15, 2015

As part of the never-ending "Battle in Seattle" between Alaska and Delta, Alaska is offering Mileage Plan members double redeemable miles (not elite qualifying miles) for travel between February 15 and May 15, 2015.

The promotion is only valid for nonstop travel in the following markets out of Seattle and Salt Lake City.

As you can see, the promotion includes some of Alaska's most popular markets, like Seattle to Anchorage, Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc. Clearly this promotion is being run due to the overlap between them and Delta in many of these markets.
